Our European sales team has been busy closing deals Post-Miptv. Viasat World acquired The Dinosaur Echo, Dinosaurs in the Outback and BBC series A Stitch in Time, which will also screen on TF1’s Histoire channel in France along History documentaries Messenger on a White Horse and Kokoda – The Spirit Lives. French TV channel Voyage has acquired the travel series New Zealand From Above, which is also part of a package deal with Latvian Television.
Some of the other titles included in this deal are Food Fighter and The Kingdom: How Fungi Made our World. ERR News, the English news portal of Estonian Public Broadcasting bought 22 hours of factual content including Before I Kicked the Bucket and OCD and ME, which will also screen on New Wave Media Group’s Life TV and Ozone TV in Hungary along with Autism: A Family's Journey and Future Food. Other European sales deals include AB Groupe’s acquisition of wildlife series The Lion Queen; public broadcaster RAI will show First Footprints; Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation licensed Money Art; RTV Slovenija acquired one-off documentaries Outback Rabbis and Indian Wedding Race; Outback Truckers S4 & S5 went to Stopklatka TV in Poland while The Hunter's Club series will screen on Wild TV in the Baltics and CIS. Multicanal Iberia’s Canal Cocina acquired Food Safari Earth, which has also been bought by OSN in the Middle East along the Saturday Kitchen series.
In Asia, our Singapore office has closed a flurry of deals; PCCW Media signed a package deal for Hong Kong and Macau of over 60 hours including series A Chef's Life, Real Future, Scrap Kings, Haunting Australia and The Lion Queen. In Malaysia Screenart Studio acquired Railroad Australia, while Cheers Media licensed Life Inside the Markets. IX Media Co. in Taiwan bought Wildflame’s Under the Sea: The Great Barrier Reef.
New Zealand audiences will see A Chef's Life on Country TV in NZ and Food Safari Earth on Choice TV.
